2) Information we collect

A. Content you provide

• Voice recordings you choose to create in the App
• Text generated from your recordings, such as transcripts, summaries, or reflections
• Journal entries and generated reflection content associated with your account

B. Account and identifiers

• A user identifier used to associate your data with your account (e.g., an internal user ID such as a Firebase UID)
• If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive an identifier from Apple and use it only to sign you in and sync your data

C. Purchase information (if you subscribe)

• Subscription status (e.g., whether you have Premium)
• Purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store. We do not receive your full payment details (such as your credit card number).
• We may use a subscription service provider (e.g., RevenueCat) to validate entitlements and manage subscription status.

D. How we collect this information

• Directly from you when you record or submit journal content in Haven
• Through authentication and app usage required to provide the service

E. Analytics and tracking

• Haven does not use tracking for advertising purposes.
• We do not collect analytics data.

3) How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide core App functionality (recording, saving, and showing your entries)
• Transcribe audio and generate AI-powered reflections you request
• Sync your data across devices (if enabled)
• Maintain account access and security
• Validate subscription entitlements (Premium vs. Normal)
• Improve reliability, performance, and fix bugs

4) How we store and share information

A. Storage

Your entries (audio and generated text) may be stored securely using cloud services (e.g., Firebase/Google Cloud) to provide syncing and backup.

B. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only when necessary to provide the App, such as:

• Cloud hosting and database providers (e.g., Firebase/Google Cloud)
• Subscription entitlement verification (e.g., RevenueCat)
• AI service provider (OpenAI) for reflection generation
• Legal compliance if required by law

C. Third-party AI processing (OpenAI)

To generate reflections, Haven shares voice recordings and transcribed text with OpenAI. This data is used only for reflection generation.

This data is not sold and is not used for advertising. Service providers handling this data are expected to provide safeguards comparable to our own.

5) Your choices and controls

• Access: You can view your saved entries in the App.
• Deletion: You can delete your content in the App. You can also request account deletion by contacting havenhelp123@gmail.com. Account deletion deletes your stored user data associated with your account.
• Subscription: You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.

6) Data retention

We retain your information only as long as needed to provide the App and fulfill the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required by law. If you delete your account, we delete associated stored data within a reasonable period.

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

8) Children’s privacy

Haven is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9) International users

If you access the App from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be processed and stored in those locations to provide the App.

10) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above when changes are made.
